- Crate
- Purina Pro Plan 30/20, Performance, Salmon and Rice - This is the food that what we feed. Some Goldendoodles develop an allergy to chicken so we stay away from it... Just in case. When the stores are out of salmon and rice, we get the lamb and rice.
- Toys
- Chews - Best to get some made for chewers. Benebone and Betterbones are good ones. We DO NOT recommend rawhide bones or chews. They can upset the stomach.
- Shampoo - We like Top Performance, Fresh Pet scent. It is made just for dogs.
- Conditioner - We use Top Performance, Fresh Pet scent. Also made just for dogs.
- A spray on, leave in conditioner - This helps with detangling and brushing
- Slicker Brush
- Metal Comb
- Ear Powder - This helps keep their ears dry and from getting an ear infection. Great for using after baths or weekly as a preventative.
- Dog Bed
- Collar/Harness
- Leash
- Snuggle Puppy - This helps the puppy adjust to being by themselves (without littermates).
- Treats - Ones without chicken preferably. Great for rewards for going outside to potty or when learning commands.
Why We Recommend Crate Training Your Mini Goldendoodle or Miniature Poodle Puppy At Golden B Acres
We want to believe that our puppies will stay at home and never get hurt or sick or that their will never be an emergency of some sort that would make it necessary to have them in a crate. However, things happen. Whether they are in an accident, there is an emergency like a hurricane, fire, etc., there are reasons that it is beneficial for your Mini Goldendoodle or Mini Poodle puppy to be comfortable with being in a crate for a few hours at a time. Even taking your puppy to the groomer will have them staying in a kennel for a small amount of time. Getting them used to being in one at home can make even the shortest stay much less stressful and more comfortable for them. And if there is a time when they have to be boarded or kept in a crate or kennel for several hours you can feel better knowing that they are used to being in one and won't be stressed over being in one.
